📖 The Premise
This biopic dives straight into the emotional, high-stakes journey of Michael Jackson, tracing his rise from a heavily pressured child star in the Jackson 5 to the world's ultimate solo superstar. Starring Michael’s real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson, the film digs deep into the intense family dynamics, his complex relationship with his father Joe, and the sheer creative obsession that drove him. It's a raw look at his life off-stage, the heavy price of his massive fame, and the legendary performances that ended up defining his legacy by the late 1980s.
⚙️ The Technical Flex
The classic warm colour grade is so beautiful and fun to watch. I think it deserves the hype that it got. I also think that it was #1 in the world for some time. People should calm down in theatres though.
🏁 Final Verdict
It's a masterpiece that I wish I could have watched on the big screen, but I was just 2 days too late.
